How do I order?

If your prescription is older than two years, book an eye test with an optician or us.

If you haven’t already got a copy of your prescription, ask the optician who carried out your test. They are legally obliged to provide one immediately after your eye test and on request at no extra charge.

Browse our diverse collection of designer and own-brand glasses and sunglasses to find the pair you want.

Once you’ve selected your frames, move on to choosing your lenses. Select your reason for needing glasses e.g. for reading. If you are unsure, speak to one of our qualified opticians on 0113 345 2272

How to get your prescription

How do I get a copy of my prescription?

The optician is legally obliged to provide you with a copy of your prescription after your eye test. If they don’t give you this, make sure you ask them.

How recent does my prescription have to be?

Your prescription must be no older than two years. Your recommended intervals between eye tests vary depending on your age and health.

How long will my glasses take to arrive?

Below we have highlighted what to expect when ordering from Allegro Optical.

The majority of our orders are shipped within 7 days from order date, although more complex prescription orders may take longer. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your order has been dispatched. We work hard to ensure even the most complex prescriptions are dispatched within 14 days of being authorised by our opticians.

We work closely with Royal Mail who take your order from our hands and deliver it straight into yours. If you’ve received an email to notify you that your order has been dispatched, but you haven’t yet received it after 7 days, contact us and we will try to resolve this as quickly as possible for you.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery costs for orders from within the UK. The following delivery fees apply at Allegro Optical:

  • United Kingdom, signed for = £4.45
  • United Kingdom, special delivery – Insured = £7.50

What if my glasses arrive damaged?

We want you to receive your glasses quickly and in perfect condition, so in the unlikely event that there is a fault please contact us on 0113 345 2272 or email us at info@allegrooptical.co.uk and we will aim to resolve this. Please include as many details as possible about the order so that we can sort this out for you quickly.

What if I have received the incorrect pair or a pair is missing?
